Sirisha P
Nukarathnam and Polaiah first brought their 3-year-old daughter, Sirisha, to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 19th May 2017. Sirisha was diagnosed with a complex Congenital Heart Disease, after undergoing a Prefontan Cath Study on 20th May 2017. Residents of Prakasam in Andhra Pradesh, the worried parents were asked to come again on 26th May 2017 for their daughter to be surgically treated for the defect.
Baby Sirisha had a heart valve which was missing or abnormally developed because of which there was an obstruction to blood flow in the heart. She underwent a procedure called Extra Cardiac Fontan Completion on 29th May 2017 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, and later, to the Paediatric Ward, for recovery. The happy parents, Nukarathnam and Polaiah, were allowed to take their baby girl home after nearly two weeks, on 14th June 2017.

When Ramalakshmi and Rangaswamy’s 6-year-old daughter, Pranavi, was diagnosed with a complex Congenital Heart Defect, they brought her to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 2nd May 2017 for further follow-up. Residents of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, the worried parents consulted with Dr. Girish Warrier, Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon about their baby girl.
Pranavi underwent a surgery called Completion Fontan Operation on 10th May 2017 and recovered well enough to be allowed to go home with her happy parents on 19th May 2017.

Naga Niranjan
Naga Niranjan, a naughty 3-years-old boy, complained of shortness of breath aggravated with exertion and associated with recurrent respiratory tract infection which prompted his parents, Haritha and Suresh Kumar, to bring him to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills. They arrived from Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh and consulted with Dr. Girish Warrier regarding Niranjan’s condition. He was admitted on 1st July 2017.
When further tests were run, it was found that he had a large hole in his heart and also a very rare cardiac structural anomaly. He underwent surgery called Atrial Septal Defect Closure + Rerouting of Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection on 6th July 2017. He took about a week to recover and was allowed to go home with his relieved parents on 12th July 2017.

Master Megavath Chanti Kumar
10-year-old Chanti Kumar came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Nalgonda in Telangana on 24th April 2017. His parents, Sreenu and Vijaya, had been worried because Chanti had been suffering from complaints of shortness of breath, aggravated with crying and exertion, and relieved with rest for the past 2 years.
He was diagnosed with a complex Congenital Heart Defect called Tetralogy of Fallot, in which the heart has several structural and anatomical anomalies. Chanti underwent a surgery called Total Correction of Tetralogy of Fallot on 28th April 2017 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, and later to the Paediatric Ward, for recovery. Elated and relieved, Sreenu and Vijaya were finally allowed to take their son home on 8th May 2017.
Many children like Chanti suffer from Congenital Heart Disease, which requires interventional or surgical treatment and constant follow-up. We, at SACHi, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, ensure that children suffering from such diseases are given the necessary treatment and in a timely manner. It is thanks to the generosity of several donors, like you, that we have been able to touch more than 50,000 lives since our inception in 2003.

When Anitha and Ravinder’s 8-year-old son, Ramcharan, was having bluish discolouration of hands and feet associated with shortness of breath since 2 years, they brought him to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 25th April 2017. Residents of Karimnagar in Telangana, the worried parents consulted with Dr. Girish Warrier, Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon about their son’s condition.

When Kaja Rasool and Noornisha’s 2-year-old son, Mahammed, was not gaining weight and suffering from recurrent bouts of respiratory infection, they brought him to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 19th April 2017. Residents of Secunderabad in Telangana, the worried parents consulted with Dr. Kavitha Chintala, Paediatric Cardiologist about their son’s condition.
Several tests were run and Mahammed was diagnosed with having a hole in his heart. He underwent a procedure called VSD Device Closure on 20th April 2017 and recovered very quickly. He was allowed to go home with his happy parents on 22nd April 2017.

Master Palaji Shiva Teja
Resident of Karimnagar in Andhra Pradesh, Naveena brought her 2-year-old son, Shiva to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 28th March 2017. Shiva had previously been diagnosed with a hole in his heart and required an interventional procedure to correct it.
On 30th March 2017, Shiva underwent a procedure called VSD Device Closure and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for recovery. The relieved mother was allowed to take her son home on 3rd April 2017.

Residents of Karimnagar in Telangana, the worried parents consulted with Dr. Girish Warrier, Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon about their baby girl.
Several tests were run and it was confirmed that Baby Chitti was suffering from several structural anomalies of the heart, a condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. She underwent a procedure called Total Correction of Tetralogy of Fallot (Intracardiac Repair + Double Barrel) on 27th March 2017 and was later shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for recovery. The happy parents, Raju and Swapna, were allowed to take their baby home on 4th April 2017.

Ramulu and Ratna Kumari brought their 1-year-old baby girl to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Nalgonda in Telangana on 26th November 2016. Their baby had been suffering from recurrent cough, cold and fever.
Several tests were run and Bhuvana was diagnosed with a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects which are present at birth called Tetralogy of Fallot. This Congenital Heart Disease causes blood with low levels of oxygen in it to flow from the heart to other parts of the body and requires surgical intervention and extensive treatment.
Baby Bhuvana underwent a surgery called Correction of Tetralogy of Fallot on 1st December 2016 and recovered well enough to be allowed to go home with her parents on 10th December 2016.

Baby of Nalam Sreedevi
Sreedevi and Rambabu brought their 2-month-old baby girl to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh on 11th February 2017. The baby was suffering from bluish discolouration of skin since birth and had been having trouble breathing for the past 2 weeks.
She was diagnosed with a rare Congenital Cardiac Disease called Pulmonary Atresia with IVS, in which the baby’s pulmonary valve was congenitally malformed which was causing an obstruction to blood flow from the heart to the lungs.
She underwent a surgical procedure called Modified BT Shunt on 15th February, 2017 and took a couple of weeks to recover. She went home with her relieved and happy parents on 1st March, 2017.
Many children like Sreedevi’s baby suffer from Congenital Heart Disease, which requires interventional or surgical treatment and constant follow-up. We, at SACHi, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, provide this treatment to many children suffering from such diseases and in a timely manner and it is thanks to the generosity of several donors, like you, that we have been able to touch more than 50,000 lives since our inception in 2003.

Master Shashank Reddy P
11-year-old Shashank, came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Cuddapah in AP on 22nd October, 2016 with his father, Eswara Reddy. Shashank complained of not gaining weight, Global Developmental Delay and suffering from seizures. His father had brought him for a consultation with Dr. Kavitha Chintala, Paediatric Cardiologist.
Extensive tests were conducted and Shashank was found to be suffering from a large hole in his heart. He underwent a procedure called ASD Device Closure on 26th October, 2016 and recovered so well that he was allowed to go home with his relieved parents on the very next day.

Vijaya and Satish brought their 7-month-old baby daughter to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Nizamabad in Telangana on 4th November, 2016. Their baby had been suffering from bluish discolouration of body since her birth and they had come for a consultation with Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr. Girish Warrier.
Extensive tests were conducted and the baby was found to be suffering from a Congenital Heart Disease called Double Outlet Right Ventricle, in which no arteries are connected to the Left Ventricle. She also had a hole in her heart. She underwent a surgery called Intracardiac Repair + Right Ventricular Outflow Tract and Main Pulmonary Artery Repair with Pericardial Patch on 9th November, 2016. She recovered well enough to go home with her much relieved parents on 18th November, 2016.

Baby of Chippada Parvathi
Balakrishna and Parvathi brought their 2 month old baby girl to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh on 24th September, 2016. They had noticed that their daughter had been having difficulty in breathing for the past 1 week and since hers was a known case of Congenital Heart Disease, they were came to Dr. Girish Warrier at Apollo Hospitals.
The baby was suffering from a form of congenital heart disease whereby there is a complete absence of the tricuspid valve which leads to a hypoplastic (undersized) or absent right ventricle. She underwent a procedure called PA Banding on 27th September, 2016 and was allowed to go home with her parents on 6th October, 2016.

Pasulu Balu
Six-year-old Pasulu Balu was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills by his parents, Tirupathi and Bharathi, on 3rd October, 2016 from Mahboobnagar in Andhra Pradesh. The child had been suffering from shortness of breath on exertion since one year, growth retardation, and a history of frequent cough and cold.
On his previous visit to the hospital, Pasulu had been diagnosed with Complex Congenital Heart Disease which included structural anomalies in the heart as well as compromised blood flow. He had undergone Intracardiac Repair + Transannular Patch on 18th August, 2016 and was allowed to go home with this relieved parents after nearly a couple of weeks of recuperation on 31st August, 2016.
Post-operation, Pasulu developed abnormal accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity and underwent treatment with Lasix, antifailure medicines, Aldactone and was discharged on 7th October, 2016.
It is thanks to the generosity of individuals like you that Pasulu was screened, diagnosed, and treated in time and given another chance at a normal life. Baby Bushra
Bushra, a 14-year-old girl, came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Nalgonda in Telangana with her parents, Md. Mussowar and Jamila on 21st October, 2016. The parents had noticed a retardation in Bushra’s growth at the age of 3 months and said that she suffered from poor feeding as well.
Extensive tests were conducted and Bushra was found to be suffering from a hole in her heart. She underwent a surgery called VSD Closure on 27th October, 2016 and was shifted first to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and later to the Paediatric Ward. After nearly a week, on 4th November, 2016, Bushra was allowed to go home with her relieved parents.

Anitha and Vijay Kumar brought their 3-year-old baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Kurnool in AP on 13th October, 2016. Their baby had been suffering from bluish discolouration of fingers and lips, shortness of breath, and poor feeding habits. They consulted with Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr. Girish Warrier.
Extensive tests were conducted and Sai was found to be suffering from a Congenital Heart Disease called Pulmonary Atresia, in which the Pulmonary Valve does not form properly, in addition to having a large hole in the heart. He underwent a procedure called Completion Fontan Operation on 17th October, 2016 and recovered so well that he was allowed to go home with his relieved parents on 26th October, 2016.

The boy underwent Balloon Aortic Valvotomy and Balloon Dilation of COA on 27th July, 2016 and was discharged to go home with his parents on 1st August, 2016.

Karthika Darni
Rajesh, a resident of Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh, brought his four year old daughter to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 30th August, 2016. Karthika was asymptomatic but had previously been diagnosed with a Complex Congenital Heart Disease in which her heart had several structural anomalies in addition to a hole in the heart.
Karthika underwent a procedure called Prefontan Cath Study on 31st August, 2016 and was allowed to go home with her relieved father the very next day, i.e. 1st September, 2016.
SACHi has been instrumental in ensuring screening, testing, diagnosis and treatment and follow-up of children from weaker socio-economic backgrounds suffering from Congenital Heart Disease and over four thousand children have undergone surgeries since SACHi’s inception.
Children like Karthika are unable to fully enjoy their childhood because of Congenital Heart Disease. They often find themselves breathless or struggling to keep pace with other children. Shyam Sunder Singh, resident of Ranga Reddy District in Telangana, brought his eight month old baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 3rd August, 2016. Rohan was diagnosed with a hole in his heart and he underwent a procedure called VSD Closure on 10th August, 2016 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for recuperation. Ten days post surgery, Rohan was allowed to go home with this father.

Rudresh was diagnosed with a Complex Congenital Heart Disease wherein there were structural anomalies in his heart which also led to obstruction to blood flow. He underwent Total Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot + Transannular Patch on 11th July, 2016 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for recuperation. Rudresh took well over a month to fully recover his strength and was finally allowed to go home with his parents on 12th August, 2016.

Eleven year old Goshnavi came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Khammam in Andhra Pradesh on 7th July, 2016 with her parents, Rambabu and Venkata Lakshmi. Manikanta was suffering from cough, cold and fever for the past three days, and being a previously diagnosed case of Complex Congenital Heart Disease, her parents were very worried.

Five year old Jesmitha, resident of Warangal in Andhra Pradesh, had been struggling to gain weight since birth. Her worried mother, Kanaka Lakshmi, brought her to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 4th July, 2016 for a consultation with Dr. Kavitha Chintala.
Jesmitha was diagnosed with having a hole in her heart and she underwent a procedure called ASD Device Closure on 8th July, 2016. She went back home with her visibly relieved mother the very next day.

Sana Parveen
Sana, the eight year old daughter of Yousuf Khan and Imtiaz Begum, came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 18th May, 2016 from Karimnagar in Telangana. Sana was apparently asymptomatic till the age of one month; developed shortness of breath on exertion, bluish discolouration of lips, and tongue since the last two years with increasing episodes from last one year.
Her worried parents consulted with Sr. Consultant, Paediatric Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Girish Warrier and Sana was diagnosed with a Complex Congenital Heart Disease. She underwent a procedure called Intracardiac Repair (VSD Closure + Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Relief) on 23rd May, 2016. She was allowed to go home after a week, on 30th May, 2016.

Baby of Sujatha S
This five month old baby girl had been facing difficulty in breathing and had shown failure to thrive since the age of one month. Her worried parents, Sujatha and Satyanarayana, residents of Mehboobnagar in Telangana, brought her to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 22nd April, 2016. They consulted with Sr. Consultant, Paediatric Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Girish Warrier, who diagnosed the baby with a Complex Congenital Heart Disease.
Dr. Warrier performed a procedure called Left Modified BT Shunt + Pulmonary Artery Plasty on 27th April, 2016 after which the tiny tot was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit to be kept under observation. After an extensive period of recovery, Sujatha and Satyanarayana were allowed to take their daughter home on 16th May, 2016.

Madhu Sudhan
Sumalatha and Alaiah brought their two year old baby boy, Madhu Sudhan, to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 22nd April, 2016 from Karimnagar in Telangana. The infant had been suffering from recurrent chest infections since the age of one month and the parents were wrecked with worry about his health.
Several tests were run and Madhu Sudhan was diagnosed with a large hole in his heart for which he underwent a procedure called ASD Closure on 29th April, 2016. He recuperated in the Paediatric Ward till he was allowed to go home with his parents on 5th May, 2016.

Sree Samanvitha
Two year old toddler from Hyderabad, Sree Samanvitha, was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, by her parents Vimala and Karnukar on 11th April, 2016. The parents were worried that their baby was not gaining weight and came for a consultation with Dr. Kavitha Chintala, Paediatric Cardiologist.
Samanvitha was diagnosed with having a moderate hole in her heart and underwent a procedure called ASD Device Closure on 18th April, 2016. She went home with her relieved parents the very next day, i.e. 19th April, 2016.
Children like Samanvitha, who suffer from Congenital Heart Disease, often do not have access to excellent medical facilities because of their weaker economic background. However, with your support, SACHi has been able to screen, test, diagnose and treat over 5000 such children. It is because of your generosity that these little children are able to lead normal lives and enjoy their childhood.

Five months old, Baby Shalini had apparently been a healthy baby till one month of age, after which she developed failure to thrive and recurrent chest infections. Her concerned parents, Suhasini and Satish brought her to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 7th April, 2016 from Warangal in Telangana. They consulted with Dr. Girish Warrier, Sr. Consultant, Paediatric Cardio Thoracic Surgery, who diagnosed the baby with a Complex Congenital Heart Disease. Baby Shalini had a large hole in her heart in addition to other structural anomalies.
Baby Shalini underwent VSD Closure + Aortic Arch Repair on 11th April, 2016 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for recovery. She was finally discharged on 23rd April, 2016 when the relieved parents took their infant home.

Baby Jessi, a six year old girl from Karimnagar, Telangana had been suffering from recurrent chest infections. She was evaluated by the local hospital in and diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. She came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills with her parents, Mamatha and Kiran on 9th April, 2016.
Jessi underwent Atrial Septal Defect Closure + Rerouting of Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection on 13th April, 2016 and was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, and later the Paediatric Ward for recovery. Her parents were allowed to take her home on 18th April, 2016.
Children from economically weaker backgrounds, like Jessi, often find themselves out of the reach of the best medical expertise and facilities. Bhavani, a two year old cherub, came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 29th March, 2016 with her parents, Lachaiah and Rama. They were natives of Karimnagar in Telanagana and had made the journey to Hyderabad because Bhavani had been suffering from shortness of breath, and recurrent respiratory tract infection since birth. His parents were very anxious about the health of their child but the medical staff at Apollo Hospitals assured them that their child was in the best possible hands.
Bhavani was diagnosed with a large hole in the heart and underwent a procedure called ASD Closure on 4th April, 2016. She recovered well during the next week under the care of the experienced Paediatric Cardiology team and nursing staff and was discharged on 11th April, 2016.
Bhavani, a vivacious and happy child, can now go back to being a normal and naughty girl and play around to her heart’s content. Ahalya G
Ahalya, five years of age, came to Apollo Hospitals with her mother, Navya, from Karimnagar in Andhra Pradesh on 12th May, 2016. Hers was a previously diagnosed case of Complex Congenital Heart Disease and she had previously undergone a procedure called Bi-Directional Glenn Shunt in 2014. She was now being admitted for another procedure called Completion Fontan Operation.
Ahalya underwent the abovementioned procedure on 19th May, 2016 and had to spend a long time in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and later in the Paediatric Ward to recover. Finally, she was allowed to go home with her mother on 30th May, 2016.

Zulekha Fatima
Meharunnisa and Mohd. Subhan brought their seven month old daughter to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Golconda, Hyderabad on 16th March, 2016. She had been suffering from bluish discolouration of tongue and lips on exertion and while feeding from three months of age. Several tests were run and Baby Zulekha was diagnosed with a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth, called Tetralogy of Fallot.
On 17th March, 2016, she underwent a procedure called Emergency Total Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot (Intracardiac Repair + Transannular Patch). She took a couple of weeks to recuperate and was allowed to go home with her parents on 30th March, 2016.

This three year old tiny tot came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 9th May, 2016 with her mother, Niraja from Yousufguda in Hyderabad. Her mother complained that Jesweetha had been apparently asymptomatic till 3 months of age, but had later developed recurrent respiratory tract infections requiring hospital admission.
Several tests were run and Jesweetha was diagnosed with Ostium Secundum ASD (hole in the heart) and Mildly Dilated Right Heart. She underwent a procedure called ASD Closure on 16th May, 2016 and recuperated in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and then was later shifted to the Paediatric Ward. She was finally allowed to go home with her mother on 21st May, 2016.

Dr. Kavitha Chintala performed a procedure called ASD Device Closure on him on 18th May, 2016. And Saif was discharged on 19th May, 2016. His parents were more than happy to take their baby home, healthy and hearty.

Venkata Karthik, a little boy aged one and a half years, was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills by his parents, Bhargavi and Kiran Kumar on 29th March, 2016 from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Their baby was suffering from recurrent chest infection since the age of 1 month.
When he was examined by Dr. Girish Warrier and tests were run, it was found that he had a particularly complex case of congenital heart disease with a large hole in his heart. He was admitted for surgical management and a procedure called VSD Closure was done on 4th April, 2016.
The tiny tot recovered well enough and was finally discharged on 9th April, 2016. His parents were more than happy to take their baby home, healthy and hearty.

Srikanth and Sravanthi had first brought their five month old baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 15th February, 2016 from Warangal District of Telangana. Their child had been experiencing difficulty in breathing and feeding since the age of one month and had also been suffering from bluish discolouration of skin from the age of three months.
Hartik was diagnosed with a condition called Tetralogy of Fallot in which multiple structural anomalies of the heart lead to the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood in the heart. He underwent a procedure called Total Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot on 16th February, 2016 and was able to recover well in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Ward under the watchful gaze of our skilled medical team and was discharged on 27th February, 2016.

Abdul Geelani and Sahiba, residents of Velugodu Mandal of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, brought their fifteen month old son to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 18th March, 2016. Ayaan was apparently asymptomatic till two months of age, but later developed bluish discolouration of tongue and lips on feeding and crying.
Ayaan was diagnosed with a complex Congenital Heart Disease in which multiple structural anomalies in the heart contribute to the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood which leads to cyanosis and other complications. He underwent a procedure called Total Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot on 23rd March, 2016. He recovered post-surgery before his parents took him home on 31st March, 2016.

Pushpa Raju and Jyothi brought their one year old baby girl to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh on 17th February, 2016. The baby had been suffering from failure to thrive and shortness of breath since the age of one month. Several tests were run and she was diagnosed with a hole in her heart in addition to Down’s syndrome.
The baby girl underwent a procedure called VSD Closure on 18th February, 2016. She was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and later to the Paediatric Ward post-surgery. She showed good recovery and was allowed to leave with her parents on 29th February, 2016.

When Maheshwara and Meghana Reddy brought their one year old toddler to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, they were very worried about his failure to thrive and the fact that he was unable to feed or breathe properly since the age of three months. The child was asymptomatic on 9th January, 2016 at the time of admission and many tests were run to determine the cause of his discomfort. Sharath Kumar was diagnosed with a large hole in his heart in addition to some other minor complications which needed surgical intervention.
Sharath Kumar underwent a procedure called ASD Closure on 13th January, 2016 and was moved to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit to be kept under observation. Having shown good recovery, he was shifted to the Paediatric Ward and finally allowed to go home with his visibly relieved parents to his home in Mahbubnagar, Telangana on the 18th of January, 2016.

Date of Admission: 4th January, 2016 Laxmi brought her nine month old baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh on the 4th of January, 2016. The child was asymptomatic at the time of admission but had complaint of not gaining weight since birth. Several tests were run and Rajasekhar was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Disease called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) with Left Heart Dilation. This meant that the foetal blood vessel that is supposed to close after birth had failed to close in his case which was causing irregular heart flow. If uncorrected, PDA may lead to congestive heart failure with increasing age.
Rajasekhar underwent a procedure called PDA Device Closure on 13th January, 2016 and showed spectacular recovery post-procedure. He was allowed to go home with his mother, Laxmi the very next day, i.e. 14th January, 2016.

Rahul is a 13 month old boy who had been suffering from shortness of breath since 4 months of age. He had been diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease in early neonatal period. He was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 19th November, 2015 from Karimnagar, Telangana by his parents, J Sathish and J Sravani.
Upon running further tests, Rahul was found to be suffering from a large hole in the heart and obstructed blood flow in the heart. He required a complex heart surgery called Total Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot which was conducted on 20th November, 2015 with the help of Sachi. He showed great recovery and was allowed to go back home with his parents on 24th November, 2015, having spent just 6 days in the hospital.

Ruthwik Burra
This four and a half year old boy came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills with his parents, Sujatha and Praveen on the 24th of November, from Karimabad in Warangal. Ruthwik, like any other naughty child of his age, had been suffering from severe shortness of breath and recurrent respiratory tract infections for a very long time.
The concerned parents were told that their son had a large hole in his heart which was the cause of his breathing issues. A procedure called ASD Device Closure was performed on 6th December, 2015. Ruthwik regained his strength and health under the watchful staff of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Paediatric Ward and was allowed to go home with his parents on 11th December, 2015 after staying in the hospital for 18 days.

Venumadhav, a ten year old boy, was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 24th October by his parents, Anuradha and Venkat Reddy, from Medak District, Telangana. The child had been complaining of shortness of breath since six months of age. Several tests were run and it was found that Venumadhav suffered from a hole in the heart which needed surgical intervention.
Venumadhav underwent a procedure called ASD on 28th October, 2015. Since he recuperated very well, he was allowed to go home with his parents on 2nd November, 2015.

Ajai P
This three year old tiny tot came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills with his mother, Jayamma, from Mahbubnagar District in Andhra Pradesh. Ajai had been asymptomatic at the time of admission but had failed to thrive and gain weight since birth. After running tests, it was found that Ajai had a large hole in his heart and that it would require surgical intervention.
Ajai underwent ASD Device Closure on 2nd December, 2015 and was able to recuperate very well. He went home with his mother on the 5th of December. He is now doing immensely well.

This three year old tiny tot came to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills with his parents, Umadevi and Mohan Rao, from Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh. This was his second visit to Apollo Hospitals, after he had been admitted on 27th August, 2015 for undergoing a surgery called ASD Closure having complains of recurrent respiratory tract infection since birth. The child was diagnosed with having a hole in his heart and other complications which led to the respiratory infections. Successfully recovered, he was discharged on 1st September, 2015 but with a readmission date after a month for another surgery.
This time around, he underwent a complicated procedure called Sinus Venous VSD Closure and Re-Routing of RUPV to LA on 15th October. He recuperated well, first in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and later in the Paediatric Ward. He was discharged on 20th October and allowed to go back home with his thankful parents.

Baby of Badekhasimmiah
Badekhasimmiah and Khajabee had first brought their ten month old toddler to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 20th August, 2015 from Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. Their child had been suffering from recurrent respiratory infection since five months of age and this had the parents worried no end.
The child was diagnosed with a condition called Supracardiac TAPVC in which a structural anomaly of the heart leads to the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to mix in the heart. The little boy was scheduled to undergo a procedure called Correction of Supracardiac TAPVC. However, because of fever spikes, the procedure could not go on as planned.
The baby was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills once again on 23rd October, 2015 and he underwent the scheduled procedure on 28th October, 2015. He was able to recover well in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Ward under the watchful gaze of our skilled medical team and was discharged on 3rd November, 2015.
It is thanks to the generosity of individuals like you that this tiny baby was screened, diagnosed and treated in time and given another chance at a normal life. Baby of Vijayashanthi Y
G Sathibabu and Vijayashanthi brought their one month old baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on 7th November, 2015. The little boy had had difficulty in breathing, bluish discolouration of skin and shortness of breath while taking feeds since birth.
Tests confirmed that the baby was suffering from congenital heart disease. He had a hole in his heart and there was obstruction to blood flow which was causing his skin and mucous membrane to turn bluish. He underwent BT Shunt and PA Plasty on 12th November and was transferred to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. Since he was recovering well, he was shifted to the Paediatric Ward where he is currently recuperating and waiting to go home.
It is thanks to the benevolence of our donors and supporters that SACHi is able to come good on its commitment to reach out to as many children with congenital heart disease as possible. SACHI, with Apollo Hospitals, provides state of the art medical treatment and care to children from economically marginalised groups and ensures that they have a better shot at life.

Baby of Nagaraju
Lalitha and Nagaraju brought their 8 month old Baby boy to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on the 16th of November, 2015. They had noticed their baby’s skin having a bluish discolouration since he had turned 3 months of age. Concerned, they had consulted with their paediatrician and had finally been referred to Dr. Girish Warrier at Apollo Hospitals.
Extensive tests were conducted and the child was found to be suffering from an obstruction to blood flow in the heart and also a very complex congenital heart disease in which there are several structural defects in the heart. The baby had to undergo a major heart surgery called Total Correction of Tetralogy of Fallot on the 18th of November, 2015 and is currently recovering in the paediatric ward at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills.
It is thanks to the expert care of Dr. Warrier and his team, best in the class facilities available at Apollo Hospitals and the helping hand of SACHi that Nagaraju and Lalitha will soon be able to take their baby home and be hopeful of a long and healthy life for him.

Vijaya Sri T
Vijaya Sri T, an 8 month old baby girl, came to Apollo Hospitals from West Godavari district and was admitted on 10th July, 2015. She had been suffering from shortness of breath on feeding and failure to thrive since birth and was diagnosed with a large hole in the heart and moderate pulmonary stenosis. She underwent VSD Closure, PDA Ligation and Pulmonary Valvotomy on 15th July, 2015.
She stayed in the hospital for two weeks and was finally discharged on 24th July, 2015 and went home with her happy parents, J Nani Babu and Sravanthi. Ram.N
Ram N, an 11 year old boy from Warangal, Telangana was brought to Apollo Hospitals on 24th August, 2015 by his parents, Yadhagiri and Kalama. The child was experiencing bluish discolouration of the skin and mucous membrane since birth and was diagnosed with a large hole in the heart.
He underwent Surgical ASD Closure and was operated upon by our specialist Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon, Dr. Girish Warrier on 29th August, 2015. He recovered well in our Paediatric Ward and was discharged on 1st September 2015. His 5-day stay in the hospital transformed his life and gave him the vitality that he had sorely missed during his lifespan of 11 years. He could now play for as long as he wanted without getting tired or breathless. It is thanks to the generosity of SACHi’s donors that Ram will now be able to live like a regular pre-teen.
Kusuma Dwarapu
Kusuma Dwarapu, aged 4 years, came to Apollo Hospitals from Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh on 3rd August, 2015. She was asymptomatic and had been diagnosed with a hole in her heart and her parents, D Ramesh and Usha Rani, had been advised to take her to Apollo for further tests and treatment.
Kusuma underwent VSD Patch Device Closure on the 7th of August, 2015 and was declared fit for discharge the very next day. Her stay in the hospital for 5 days was a short and sweet one. This gregarious child now has a better chance of enjoying her childhood than ever before and it is all thanks to your generosity. Sachi helps treat many such children whose very survival is threatened by congenital heart disease and it is through voluntary donations of individuals such as you that we are able to reach out to such children to change their lives.
Godugu Chandu
Godugu Chandu was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills on 16th July, 2015 at the age of 8 years and 5 months. His was a known case of complex congenital heart disease and he underwent Complete Fontan Operation on 23rd July, 2015. His parents, G Ramesh and G Swapna, were very anxious about the health of their child but the medical staff at Apollo Hospitals assured them that their child was in the best possible hands.
Post-operation, Chandu was kept under observation, first in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and later in the Paediatric ward under the close eye of Dr. Girish Warrier, Dr. Meena Trehan and the entire team at Apollo. Chandu was deemed fit for discharge on 3rd August, 2015, after he had spent 18 days in the hospital. Chandu, a vivacious and happy child, can now go back to being a normal and naughty boy and play and study to his heart’s content.

Baby of Sonia
Baby of Sonia is a baby boy who was operated at 11 days of age for a complex congenital heart disease in which the oxygenated blood was mixing with deoxygenated blood in his heart. It was during pregnancy that the disease was diagnosed and Sonia, the mother, was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills to make sure her delivery and post-delivery care for the baby was closely monitored. Sonia delivered prematurely, at 33 weeks of gestation, which further complicated matters. The baby weighed a mere 1.2 kgs and had a lot of trouble sustaining on ventilator. That’s when our medical team took the difficult decision of operating on this tiny baby even though the risks were manifold.
Operated for Ebstein’s Anomaly at 11 days from birth, the baby has since recovered well and has thrived at home. His parents have reported weight gain, active feeding and loud cries as signs of his recovery. It is the skill of the medical team led by Dr. Girish Warrier that this high-risk surgery, the first of its kind in India, has come off successfully. The baby will need constant follow-up and further surgeries but for now, he is healthy and thriving. The parents are very delighted that this completely hopeless case is now a happy, healthy baby in their home.
Peddi Praneeth
Gender: Male Praneeth, a lively boy of nearly 2 years, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad on 2nd September, 2015 for a consultation with Dr. Girish Warrier. Praneeth had been suffering from bluish discolouration of the skin and mucous membrane and shortness of breath since birth and was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease which is a combination of four abnormalities of the heart. He underwent two surgeries, Total Correction of Tetralogy of Fallot on 7th September, 2015 and Redo Systemic to Pulmonary Shunt on CPB on 9th September, 2015. He is currently recovering well in the Paediatric Ward at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.
Praneeth’s father, Chandu Peddi is an agricultural labourer and his mother, Sravanthi Peddi is a housewife from Domakonda, Nizamabad. Unable to bear their child’s severe discomfort, they took the step to bring him for treatment to Hyderabad, a decision they are very happy with today. They are very content with the treatment of Praneeth and are grateful to the doctors and nurses who have been caring for their child for the past twenty days. They are looking forward to the day when they can go back home with their healthy child.
Baby Aaradhya Bitla
Baby Aaradhya Bitla is 13 months old, from Mathamala Wada, Karimnagar, Telangana, India. She was suffering from asymptomatic Congenital Heart Disease. As there was no specialized expertise care in their locality, with some reference they had been to Apollo Hospitals for their daughter’s treatment. She was examined thoroughly and was admitted for Total correction of TOF operation. The operation was done successfully. Her parents were glad that they brought their child to a safe and secured place. She is now healthy and progressing well. Her parents are happy for everything and they heartfully thank Apollo hospitals for everything.

Baby of M Ramesh is a 4 months old baby boy, from Komatikondapur, Karimnagar, Telangana, India. He was suffering from shortness of breath and failure to thrive (growth problem). On the reference of local doctors he brought his baby to Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. The baby was examined and found to have Congenital Heart Defect. The baby was admitted for further treatment. After the surgery, the baby was kept in observation for 7days and then discharged. His parents were cooperative to the staff and were very happy to be in Apollo Hospitals. Master. Rajashekar Posa
Master. Rajashekar Posa is 2years old, from Tangeda, Dachepally Mandalam, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was brought to Apollo Hospitals with complaints of shortness of breath and recurrent RTI since birth. They came to know about Apollo Hospitals from their family friends. After a thorough examination, he was found with a Congenital Heart Defect and was admitted for surgery. After the post-operative care of 7 days, he was discharged. Miss R Shirisha
Miss R Shirisha is 9 years old, from Arvapalli, Ravanagudem, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India. She was suffering with shortness of breath on exertion and decreased weight gain. She was referred to Apollo Hospitals by the doctors of Aarogyasri Camp and was admitted in Apollo Hospitals for the treatment. She was diagnosed and found with TOF. Doctors have operated her successfully, after the post-operative care of 7 days, she was discharged. Now she is a happy healthy kid and is going to school regularly, she doesn’t even feel like she has undergone surgery. Her parents are glad and thankful to Apollo Doctors who made her lead a normal life again.
Master. G Uday Kumar
Master. G Uday Kumar is a 14 months boy from Mothy Mandal, Nalgonda, Telangana, India. He was suffering from frequent lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI) since birth. He was hospitalized for several times and on the reference of the local doctors he was brought to Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. After diagnosis he was found with Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) and was admitted for further management. When evaluated he was having a very high white blood cell count with inflammation or infection in C-Reactive protein (CRP). Due to the infection he could not be planned for the surgery immediately and the child was discharged with medical advice. Hopefully the child would recover from these infections and come back to Apollo Hospitals for the surgery soon.
Master. Parvez Pasha
Master. Parvez Pasha is an 8 year old boy from Godavari Khani, Ramaguda Mandal, Karimnagar, Telangana, India. Parvez was suffering from occasional shortness of breath since 2 months and was referred to Apollo Hospitals by the Aarogyasri Medical Camp Doctors. He was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Diseases and was admitted in Apollo Hospitals. Based on his report Doctors have planned for the surgery. Post-surgery care helped the child for a smooth and fast recovery. His parents were very happy and thankful to Apollo, they said “SACHi has made their child to go back to school for his bright future”.
Baby K. Keerthana
Baby K. Keerthana is from Vagrur Village, Manthralayam Mandal, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India. At the age of two she was suffering with shortness of breath, difficulty to drink, eat and Cyanosis (skin in blue colour) problems since 1 month. She was screened at one of the Aarogyasri Medical Camp’s and was referred to Apollo Hospitals for further treatment. On further evaluation the baby was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease and after the Pre-Operative evaluation the child was planned for surgery. Total Correction of TOF was successfully done on 15/10/2014. After post-surgery care of 7 days she was discharged in a stable state. Her parents were very happy for the care taken by the Apollo Doctors and left the hospital with happy tears. We wish the family and their child a healthy future.
Baby Varun Tej
Baby Varun Tej is 4 month old, suffering from VSD with mild PS. His father Mr. Ramesh is a poor agriculturist, his mother Mrs. Lasya spends her time tending to him. They noticed that Baby Varun Tej was sick because of his incessant crying. Immediately they took him to a local doctor, the doctor recognised the the baby’s heart problem and explained his parents the impending seriousness of his condition. The Doctor referred them to Care Hospitals, Hyderabad, but the case was not taken up. Then his family approached Apollo Hospitals through Arogyasri for help. He was admitted and operated successfully. He is now healthy and happy.
Uday Kumar
Little Uday Kumar lost his agriculturist father Srisailam shortly after his birth. He hails from the Nalgonda district and is being raised by his mother Ganitha with the support of her brother and his family. This one-year-old is in great need of financial support and is suffering from ASD.

Mythri is a 5-year-old girl who loves playing with her siblings. However, complains of shortness of breath on exertion was not allowing her to play for long. Her heartbeats were loud while playing. This smiling kid was suffering from a Congenital Heart Disease and required surgery for Sinus Venus closure. Her parents brought her to Apollo Hospitals for treatment. She has been operated on successfully and recovered fast with Post Surgery care. Her parents were happy with their decision in bringing their kid to Apollo Hospitals for treatment.
Baby Roshan Kumari
Roshan Kumari is a very adorable 14 months old baby, she was suffering from recurring cold & coughs since many days. Her worried parents brought her to Apollo Hospitals for treatment. On diagnosis, she was detected with Congenital Heart Defect. VSD Closure Surgery was done to her success as she had a hole in her heart. She had a healthy recovery and the happy family returned home with smiles on their face.
Yathin
After his Christmas in Apollo Hospital, Yathin can’t wait to come back home in 3 days! Yathin is a smart 6 years old boy. He loves going to school and enjoys dancing. He had a Heart surgery when he was 2 years old and he was suffering from kidney infection. The family doctor informed them about SACHI foundation and Yathin was treated in Apollo Hospital.
Little Papalanke
After finishing her surgery successfully, We at SACHi hope Papalanke will leave the hospital soonand lead normal life! Little Papalanke is 10 months old. She has been in Apollo hospital for over a month.Papalanke is from the village Ongal, and she is here with her mother and father, because she was born with a hole in her heart. Papalanke was struggling breathing, and after was given diagnosis she came to the hospital.Her parents heard about SACHI from their relatives.Now, Papalanke is after her first surgery, and won’t need another one.We all hope that she will leave the hospital soon, and start playing again.
Little Yasmin
Yasmin Smiles again! Little Yasmin is a beautiful 1 year old baby, who was born with a hole in her heart. Yasmin’s Parents heard from their friends in the Rajapet Village about SACHI. At first, when Yasmin was born, her mother was worried about her condition, after the surgery she is more relaxed, happy and thankful to SACHi foundation. Yasmin breathes more easily and Smile happily as other children.
V.Teja
V.Teja is 1 year and 3 months old and the only child of Venkateshwara, an agriculturist from Tanuku . At the tender age of 3 months his parents found out that he has a hole in his heart. Nothing seemed good at that point of time, their only concern was to get their son a better life. His parents took him to the local doctor and started his treatment. With no improvement in the condition of Teja Dr. Surender Rao from Tanuku reffered them to Apollo Hospitals. At Apollo, Teja was treated and given world class care by our team of Healthcare professionals.
Baby Raja Shekar
Baby Raja Shekar is from Guntur and is the son of factory worker, Nageshwar Rao. Just after a month of birth, Raja was observed to have continuous cough and gave sleepless nights to his patients. The irregular sleep cycle and irritation in the throat made little Raja very cranky and restless. His worried parents took him to a local doctor but found no improvement in their child’s condition. Later, they came to Apollo Hospitals to get better treatment and found that the child had cardiac problems and suffered from multiple VSD.Raja underwent a surgery with help from SACHi. Parents were very happy to see Raja stable.
Baby of Laxmi
When Laxmi was 7 months old, her parents noticed that her breathing was not normal. They took her to one of the local doctors of Peddapuram, East Godavari. The doctor diagnosed her of CHD and advised them to take further treatment from Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills. The Child was operated within a week of admission. The baby recuperated and her parents were very happy to see her play around with other children.
Baby of Laxmi Kalyan
Komariah 11 months is a child of an agriculturist belongs to Adilabad, lives with his wife and son. At the age of 3 months Komarah was not active as other children of his age. He was very weak and was suffering from cough. Dr.T.A. Reddy, who was their local doctor, referred them to Apollo after examining the child. Komariah was diagnosed with VSD L-R, a hole in the heart and was operated within a week of admission. He had recovered fast, parents were very delightful to watch their child play as normal as a child should be and were very thankful to Apollo staff.
Little Papalanke
10 months old Little Papalanke has been in Apollo hospital for over a month. Papalanke is from the village Ongal, she was born with a hole in her heart. Papalanke was suffering from a breathing problem. After diagnosing her, Papalanke’s parents came to know about SACHI from their relatives. Papalanke had a successful surgery and has recovered fast from the post – operative care. Her Family & relatives were happy with the treatment and were thankful to the entire Apollo staff.
